ABOUT KATRINA SHARLENE

You're still here.
That means something.

Maybe you're carrying a question you're afraid to say out loud. Maybe your faith has taken some hits and you're not sure what's left standing. Maybe you've done something you can't imagine God reaching past and yet something in you is still reaching toward Him.

If that's you, stay. You're exactly who I write for.

I'm not going to assume I know exactly what brought you here. But I'm guessing it wasn't because everything is fine.

WHAT I WRITE ABOUT

I'm a Christian author and the writer behind Pure Intimacy, a book for women who are done with the silence and shame that usually surrounds sexual sin, and who are ready to meet the God who actually reaches there.

But beyond that book, I spend most of my time writing about what it really means to follow Jesus when life gets complicated. Not a polished version of faith. Not better habits or cleaner behavior. Honest theology, the kind that holds up when things fall apart.

Women who find their way here are often working through:

Women who find their way here are often working through:

  • Shame around sexuality or past sin, and whether God's love actually reaches there

  • Seasons of doubt but still trying to reach for God, even on the days when part of you doesn't want to

  • The gap between who the church says God is and who He seems to be in the middle of their actual life

  • A hunger for a deeper walk with God, not just information but a genuine transformation

I don't write from a place of having it figured out. I write from the place where God found me.

HOW I GOT HERE

My relationship with Jesus started in 2008, not because I'd finally pulled myself together, but because I had completely run out of reasons to keep pretending I had.

I was in college, quietly failing out of my classes, struggling with depression I hadn't told anyone about. I kept waiting until I got my life together, until I was good enough, until I had something to offer, before I came to God. As if grace required qualification. As if the door only opened from my side.

Then, that winter, my cousin was in a devastating accident. The doctors told our family she wouldn't survive the night. In that hospital room, I watched people pray in a way I had never seen before, not formal or rehearsed, but the kind that only comes from people who genuinely believe someone is listening. So I whispered one of my own: "If You're real, let her live."

She lived. She spoke. She walked out of that hospital in less than thirty days.

That was the moment I understood that God was never waiting for me to become worthy. He had already made a way. So I stopped waiting, and I just started walking

Years later, while serving on my church's prayer team, I began writing devotionals during a season of fasting. My pastor and community saw something in my writing before I did. That season became my first book, written for the women who deserve to know, really know, the God who loves them past their worst moments.

BEFORE YOU GO

He loves you, lady. Not the version of you that has it together. Not the you who shows up clean and composed. You, exactly as you are right now, carrying whatever you came in with. You don't have to manage what you were never meant to carry alone. God is steady and kind, and He hasn't missed a single detail of what you're going through.

I've been married to my husband for thirteen years and am deeply rooted in my local church. Every year, I'm more convinced that truly understanding who God is changes everything about the way we live. That conviction is the heartbeat behind every word I write.

I'm glad you're here.
